During the last few weeks, my weight loss has been non existence. I have been working out at home with the Ripped in 30. The first week was a breeze, the second week was tougher, then I got tired of doing it. I am starting over this week! Also, since I started that, I have not been to Zumba faithfully, but I was jogging instead. I think I lost most of my weight by going to Zumba 4x a week. I acutually gained 2lbs and I am still stuck at 210.5lbs.! I did not realize the last ten pounds, would be so hard to shed! I had a friend tell me that I need to incorporate the two workouts and then I should see some results. Please pray for me.
Oh! I finally tried a Fitness Boot Camp! I did it with First Class Training, you should check them out! I woke up one Saturday morning excited, ready to get fit! I should have been ready to be challenged. To begin with, I am not an outdoors person! I was kind of upset that the grass was wet that day. That was when my mindset changed to Ewww....I'm about to get dirty. LOL! Then the workouts came back to back, non stop(well, I had more breaks than the others), I don't think my mind could keep up with my body. During the whole class, I kept thinking, why did I agree to this?! And I really wanted to leave, but I am not a quitter, so I pouted on and it was finally over. At the end of the class, I became dizzy, so the trainer poured water on my back, so glad that cooled me off. I really do like the boot camp atmosphere, because the trainers push you to where you need to be and I was so thankful, that the trainer saw where I was struggling and he changed the workouts to fit my skill level. I would definitely do the class again, hopefully on that day, the grass would be dry. :-)
I have been eating okay, not as strict as before. I'm still making healthier choices when it comes to food, but snacks on the other hand have been nothing but chips, chips and more chips. At least once a day, I would have a handful of salty chips. I have never been a chip person, but I craved them badly and so I gave in. I was also getting comfortable with gummy worms again. I figure, they wouldn't do too much damage. It's not the forbidden chocolate. Another friend suggested that I try Seaweed Snacks for the crunch sensation, so I will go get some soon. Hopefully those will help. I am still trying new veggie protein and so far, I like all of the Morning Star foods. One day I wanted a hot dog, so I tried the Smart Dogs by Light Life and those were the worst! I wasted $4! I don't recommend them. However, the Veggie Dogs from Morning Star were acceptable.
Since things were getting a little blurry, I wanted to know how long I have been committed to this journey. August 21st made 4 months!!!! For those of you that know me personally, knows, that I have never committed to any "diet" for that long. I am so proud of myself for not wanting to be on a diet. I wanted a healthier lifestyle and that is why I am still seeking to understand how the body works and what is working for me. Since this is the 4th month, it is time to put my foot down! It's already down, but I feel my heels starting to rise and I do not want to leave this happy place that I have found. :-)
Last week, I started the Master Cleanse again. I wanted to do it for three days. I did great on the first day, until later on that night, then I decided that I could eat one meal a day. I forgot how hard the first three days are, but I did feel a little better afterwards. Moving forward, I think I need to make sure everyday is a success. Meaning, really evaluating what foods I will be consuming daily and what affects will it have on weight gain, if any?. I thought by creating a My Fitness Pal account, that would keep me on track, but sometimes I was just ready to eat and I didn't feel like dissecting my food before I ate it. I might as well delete it. Any who, I know I will continue my journey after 6 months, but I want to get as close as I can to 150lbs. I have to remind myself that it is all up to ME.
We have to put in the work in order to reach our goals and DON'T FORGET IT!
