To do everything that you could think of and only lose another 2.4 lbs. is sort of depressing. Now I see how the people on Biggest Loser feel, when they don't get the results they have worked so hard for. Some would say, it's not about the scale, but I say, "It's all about the scale!" We eat right, workout for hours in a day in hopes to gain more energy and to lose weight. Thankfully, I am losing weight, but WHY ON EARTH is it only a couple of pounds a week? I just can not accept this. Maybe I'm being too harsh on myself, but I want this to be a 3 to 6 month process and not a whole year. I still love the journey and this is no way me throwing in the towel. I am just ready to meet the new Marie and see how much more she can accomplish with her new confidence and lifestyle.
Since I was so upset about the minimal weightloss, I wanted to have a "cheat day." In my mind, I was thinking junk food, or even stopping at McDonalds to get a LARGE fry. Well, it has been a month since I last stopped at a fast food place. Yay, for me! Didn't want to mess that up, so I went with my heart :-) I had a good veggie patty, on wholegrain pocket bread, added a 1/2 slice of Go Veggie cheese, with some seasoned French fries, which I put in the oven. Man, I felt so good after eating that and I was full halfway through the fries! I call it, " cheating with a purpose." Lol!
Next week, I am going to continue to eat protein with every meal and snacks in between. After looking at the food pictures I uploaded, I noticed that although my meals are healthy, the serving size are somewhat large. I'm going to start using a measuring cup to gain portion control. I am also going to try my hardest to stay off the scale, at least for 10 days. As of today, I weight 222.4 lbs. My next weigh-in date will be June 10th. If you see me getting antsy, or even talking about the scale, I have to add an additional day. Oh My!
Until next time.....
